GovCIO is Hiring a Data Engineer Near Washington, DC

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring a Data Engineer to support our client’s contract needs. This position is located in the Washington, DC area and will be a full on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, implements and supports data warehousing
  • Implements business rules via stored procedures, middleware, or other technologies
  • Presents and performs technique for analyzing business objectives, goals, critical success factors, business processes, system requirements, information needs, and priorities
  • Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data
  • Creates reporting data for internal and/or external clients in a way that is compelling and easy to understand
  • Analyzes the gathered information for consistency and cross analysis
  • Defines user interfaces and functional specifications
  • Supports all aspects of system life cycle and studies
  • Responsible for verifying accuracy of data, and the maintenance and support of the data warehouse
  • Integrate of multiple data sources into a single repository
  • Utilize data that is multichannel (web, email, direct mail and call center) in origin and application
  • Acts as a recognized technical expert in base labor category description
  • Functions as the highest-level individual contributor in at least one technical area
  • Utilizes expertise in business management practices, industry requirements and information technology disciplines to develop technical and/or business solutions to client problems
  • Creating project plans with timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information opportunities and/or needs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, information systems, engineering, business management or other related technical area with 8 years or (commensurate experience)
  • Advanced degree in data science or significant equivalent experience required

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience using data tools and technologies such as, the Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), InfoWeb/Java, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and surveys
  • Experienced in database design, particularly in the integration of multiple data sources into a single repository
  • Experienced in applying data analysis and statistical techniques on large data sets, to develop predictive models that address and target problems
  • Experienced in utilizing data that is multichannel (web, email, direct mail and call center) in origin and application
  • Ability to perform sophisticated statistical analysis and also interprets the data and communicates results to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Has a high level of diverse technical and industry experience related to a specific skillset (
  • Typically has specialization in a particular technology or business application
  • Keeps abreast of technological developments and industry trends
  • Requires approximately three years additional experience over the master level
  • Defined at the task order level, additional education, training and/or certifications are required in relevant field over the master level
  • Clearance Required: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • 8 years supporting Database/data focused and HR systems (i.e Peoplesoft, HRIS, etc)

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
