Gordon & Partners – Pre-Litigation Paralegal – Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Gordon & Partners is a law firm that stands up for the injured and we fight to ensure they receive the compensation they deserve! We are seeking to hire a full-time Pre-Litigation Paralegal who is highly organized, detail oriented, and has strong communication skills. We are looking for a qualified Paralegal to join the growing business at our person injury law firm!

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients; strong in empathy
• Conduct legal research
• Gather and organize relevant medical records and chronologies
• Interview clients
• Maintain professional interaction with clients, doctors, attorneys, etc.
• Meet/beat deadlines and maintain calendars, including scheduling depositions, hearings, mediation, etc.
• Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, discovery, motions, and subpoenas; electronic filing
• Train Legal Assistants
• Additional duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALITIES:

• Must be able to follow instructions, be motivated and have initiative, must be able to record and follow up on requested information.
• Excellent math skills for accurate closing statements
• Strong computer skills, including, but not limited to, use of Aderant, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
• Gather relevant documents for attorney’s use in upcoming depositions, meetings, telephone conferences, etc.
• Familiar with medical records and chronologies
• Outstanding time management skills, typing skills and ability to multi-task.
• High energy and integrity
• Detail oriented
• Must be professional and cooperative with coworkers
• Must be organized with a strong attention to detail
