Job Summary :
Oversees general cleanliness and custodial responsibilities in specified common areas of assigned building(s). Trains other employees in good cleaning practices. . Manages work schedule of custodians and reallocates work to cover absences, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education
High School or GED, preferred.
Experience
Prior janitorial experience required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration
None
Other
- Ability to work for periods of time without direct supervision and train others as needed.
- Knowledge of, or willing to learn, use of tools, equipment and supplies relative to janitorial duties.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to perform duties that frequently require bending and lifting.
- Responsible for training others to follow and ensuring that all safety rules are followed and that appropriate safety equipment is used.
Job Duties
Essential Duties

- Training other employees to work efficiently
- Supervises floating Janitorial Custodial workers inclusive of, but not limited to coordinating schedules, and location assignment
- Supervises contracted Janitorial Custodial workers across multiple locations ensuring proper cleanliness of facilities.
- Mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming.
- Waste removal and general cleaning.
- Pulling trash from containers in restrooms, hallways, common areas, and other areas as assigned.
