GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Business Strategy (Vice President) collaborates closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and senior executives to oversee the Company's daily business operations. This role entails managing communications, system requirements, and coordination efforts to ensure the accurate gathering of fiscal and metric data for various management reports, including annual budgets, forecasts, monthly financial results, strategic plans, and special analyses. Working across all operational units, the Vice President develops policies, implements strategies, and leads collaborative initiatives to meet operational and financial objectives outlined by the executive team and the Company's Board-approved Strategic Plan. Additionally, the Vice President ensures proper configuration, filtration, and analysis of ERP, POS, and other source data to facilitate timely, efficient, and consistent reporting for operational results, regulatory compliance, and audited financial statements. Upholding and advancing the organization's Mission, Vision, and Values is a core responsibility of this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive digital initiatives, including but not limited to retail operations, marketing, data analytics, and technology innovation.
  • Identify emerging digital trends and technologies relevant to our industry, and assess their potential impact on our business.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Drive cultural change by fostering a digital-first mindset across the organization and promoting agile methodologies and innovation.
  • Partner with Finance and other departments to evaluate, select, and implement digital tools and platforms that support business goals and enhance operational performance.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and ROI of digital initiatives, and provide regular reporting and insights to the executive team.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances with external stakeholders, vendors, and industry partners to enhance our digital capabilities and market positioning.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements related to digital transformation and business strategy.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of digital professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum ten years of management experience.
  • Ten years of process improvement experience
  • Experience with electronic platforms for consolidating and extracting data.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required with courses in accounting and business administration. Master's Business Administration degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Preferred experience in retail; non-profit experience is desirable.
  • Proven ability to multitask effectively and deliver excellent results while working under tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to stay highly organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in non-profit accounting is a plus.
  • Punctual and reliable attendance.
  • Must be free from alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Alignment with the mission and values of the organization, particularly Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
  • Proficient in the Windows environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sequel, and Outlook email.
  • Deep knowledge and proficiency in NetSuite, including configuration, custom forms, segments, dashboards, workflow, access control, report writing, saved search creation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret scientific, technical, financial, and legal documents effectively.
  • Strong mathematical skills including advanced concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, permutations, statistical analysis, and mathematical operations relevant to data analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Experience in policy/procedure establishment, exercising independent judgment and working toward project goals.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adaptive Planning database software and familiarity with Domo business intelligence software is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide proof of identification.
  • Successful completion of drug screening and a clear criminal background check is required, without any history indicating behaviors conflicting with job responsibilities.
POSITION INFORMATION:
This position is a full time, exempt position eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance; 403(b) retirement plan; Flex-Time Off. This position is employed by Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc.
