Job Identification:

Wage: $17.00 per hour full time only
Job Summary:
The Training Store Backroom Associate is responsible for providing customer service to donors and customers, receiving and recording donations, and processing and pricing goods. Maintains the sales floor, backroom, and donation receiving area. Adheres to all company policies and procedures. Trains all associates assigned for training to the Rose store in all facets of production, donor assistance and customer service. Ensures all standards are met and explained in a comprehensive manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs excellent customer service to donors and customers at all times.
Directs vehicles and customers to correct donation locations. Greets donors and provide information about Goodwills donation policies, mission, and programs; offers tax receipts to donors and helps in unloading donations. Redirects donations that do not meet company requirements.
Ability to provide and demonstrate positive customer service and to de-escalate customer service issues
Receives, records, and sorts donations to effectively process through the Kaizen system. Full compliance to Kaizen guidelines/principles as outlined in the audit and 5-minute drills. Able to articulate these procedures to others in a training capacity.
Maintains records on tallies and donations from donors.
Works in various areas of the backroom determined daily by management, including soft goods production, hard goods production, donations, etc.
Able to train new employees for all retail locations in all backroom areas, including soft goods production, hard goods production, donations, etc.
Skilled with ROBarT system and able to train others with a high level of competence.
Helps to implement and maintain the retail training curriculum to achieve desired goal or outcome for all training associates.
Follows all policies and procedures while following all best practices.
Meets company production standards.
Helps drivers with loading and unloading trucks.
Identifies high-end and/or collectible items to send to E-Commerce for online sales.
Cleans items and inspects for any damage/breakage. Prices items following company standards and maintains accurate records of items priced.
Stock, merchandise, and maintain the sales floor to meet standards and guidelines.
Places items that cannot be sold into appropriate containers for salvage and separates by category.
Works at other donation sites when needed.
Sweeps and mops floors, cleans ups any broken items, cleans/sanitizes restrooms, stocks restrooms with supplies, and cleans the break area. Adheres to the cleaning checklist.
Maintains a safe, organized, and clean work area and complies with safety procedures and equipment operating rules.
Safeguards all donations and company property from damage and theft. Treats all donations and company property with respect and care.
Ensures proper handling and disposal of trash, recyclables, and hazardous waste. Maintains logs and records detailing disposal of hazardous waste materials.
Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Superior ability to train new or existing backroom associates for all locations.
Follows and helps others to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Basic understanding of laws and regulations related to hazardous materials.

May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
Knowledgeable about companys mission and services, and customer-related policies.
Physical Requirements:
Must work in all weather conditions.
Prolonged periods walking and standing (up to 8 hours).
Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds at times.
Ability to bend/squat/stoop.
Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time.
Visual acuity.
Color vision.
Manual dexterity.
Free from drug and alcohol abuse.
