DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for auditing participant, employer, and financial records per contract requirements.Communicates with Management and staff to ensure consistent and accurate reporting of contract performance activity as it relates to policy issuances and statements of work.
  • Responsible for monitoring and entering accurate customer and financial data into customer relational management databases required by federal, state, or local systems. Provide recommendations for process improvements and corrective actions. Conduct follow-up audits to ensure issues have been addressed.
  • Assist with reviewing financial budgets and expenditure rates related to program rules.
  • Organizes contract Data Validation and Internal Control of files to ensure compliance in required timeframes.
  • Coordinate and complete programmatic file reviews to ensure compliance with standards of contract requirements for performance, outcomes, and service delivery.
  • Assists in the implementation of procedures and practices for continuous contract performance. Works with management to establish standards of data management excellence using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Provides staff training to increase effective program compliance and conducts training as needed. Identifies, develops, and shares resources and information to support program operations such as creating detailed written instructions, spreadsheets, or diagrams.
  • Prepares and submits required contract performance metrics and narrative reports of service operations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business or public administration or related course work or equivalent education and experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in community-based programs and 3- 5 years coordinating WIOA/TANF or other workforce development programs, grants, and services, and quality assurance information management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations relating to Michigan Works! services.
  • Proficiency in reviewing program data to pass audits and data validation reviews.

KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize effectively.
  • Knowledge of eligibility, financial, and administrative procedures as they relate to program monitoring.
  • Ability to develop analytical reports in narrative and statistical form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Work may require regular walking, sitting, bending, kneeling and using hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls.
  • Some lifting may be required up to 25 pounds.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet project-driven critical deadlines.

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT:

  • Knowledge and functional use of Microsoft 365 software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ability to understand and apply contract-specific software database management systems and program reporting.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and have a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation.

Responsible for overseeing and maintaining an accurate and current file and database management system for Oakland County Michigan Works! Novi to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding One-Stop performance and reporting.
