Goodfellow Inc is Hiring an Inside Parts Sales Representative Near Boulder, NV

Summary/objective

Our organization has an opportunity for an Inside Parts Sales Representative to join our team. In this position, you will sell parts to all available customers, and find new opportunities for sales by seeking to understand each customer's challenges and needs. Creating valued customer relationships is a valued proposition throughout all customer interactions. At least 3 years of experience in equipment/truck/automotive parts counter sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting required parts & suggesting companion parts/add-ons and ensure the customer understands the full length of the product line.
  • Assist Field Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process and ensure a parts requisition is submitted
  • Read catalogs or computer displays in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices
  • Advise customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available
  • Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customer's descriptions of malfunctions
  • Look for opportunities to learn more about the customer and establish working relationships
  • Receive and fill telephone orders for parts
  • Prepare quotes and sales invoices
  • Receive payment or obtain credit authorization
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, and/or pick-up.
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees of the organization - (Bilingual - Spanish a plus)
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts as discounts
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple requests and responsibilities effectively and timely.
  • Must have good phone and people skills
  • Proficient personal computer skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine data activity
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations in a professional manner
  • Must be able to remain friendly and professional while providing excellent customer service
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks to maintain and enhance the appearance of products, sales area
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated and willing to work independently
  • Team-focused with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and dedication to succeed and grow.
