Responsibilities
Responsible for the development and implementation of hospital policies. Has primary leadership responsibility for ambulatory care, operating room, post anesthesia care and sterile processing services. Participates in budget preparation, recruitment and retention, and other aspects of patient care at the direction of the CNO. Maintains necessary regulatory, compliance and accreditation standards for his/her areas of responsibility. Focuses on staff education and competencies.
Qualifications or Skills Required
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Currently licensed with the State of Texas. ACLS, PALS and NRP required. Five years of recent operating room experience required and one year in a supervisory position preferred. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
