Position Purpose
In coordination with GPH Training, Education, and Development (TED) Department, see that every member receives opportunity and encouragement to grow and develop towards their full potential.
Coordinate training within the learning management system (LMS) application, assign training and keep records for SDM employees in order to value it’s staff through training, education, and development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and understand how to use the Learning Management System (LMS) to track training for all SDM staff.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure they are meeting course requirements.
  • Work with HR/Safety to evaluate and assign user roles for new hires and/or newly created positions.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize the system to gauge effectiveness in training.
  • Ensure certificates of completion are uploaded for all required courses, for all internal and external training.
  • Understand trainee concerns and work collaboratively to resolve any training issues.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify and implement improvements.
  • Provide reporting and insights to managers and Leadership that will enhance the overall performance of the LMS system and/or training.
  • Evaluate learning analytics data to identify areas for improvement and make well-informed recommendations to improve system optimization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Engagement in a learning program or programs following High School.
  • Involvement in facilitating other people's learning and development.
  • Proficiency in learning computer systems and MS Office programs
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Possess a strong technical foundation and proficiency, working in various software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors to ensure they understand requirements for new, updated courses.
  • Love of learning and sharing learning with others.
  • Ability to learn new and potentially complex computer applications.
  • Capability to positively impact people, without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Strong curiosity, patience, and persistence.
  • Tendency to thrive in team environment.
  • Ability to work independently as needed.
Work Conditions
  • The work for this position is conducted indoors, in a conventional office environment, in an office, with low noise.
  • This position is hybrid-eligible.
Physical Demands
While working, the ability to:
  • Perform work at a desk for extended periods of time, typically at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, sometimes more or less if business needs require;
  • Occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs; and
  • Regularly hear, see, and talk; and occasionally stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb throughout the day.
