Good Foods Group, LLC is Hiring a Production Scheduler (Onsite) Near Pleasant Prairie, WI

Job Summary:
The Production Scheduler will work in conjunction with our Production Planning and Scheduling Manager to help manage various aspects of scheduling activities within our production environment like creating and executing the production schedule, minimizing down-time, reporting KPIs and expediting orders and processes in a timely and efficient manner. Supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement and excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute production schedules to meet customer demands by optimizing production workflow and performance.
  • Develop production schedules in accordance with the demand forecast, capacity model and new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for deciding most efficient operational plan while providing constructive feedback to team members for areas of opportunity
  • Works directly with production leads and management to ensure production plan is met daily
  • Attends daily production communication meetings to report issues and work order status
  • Provide quick responses to production issues and potential schedule changes.
  • Works directly with procurement to assess raw material availability and out of stock situations
  • Perform lot sizing and load leveling solutions to achieve efficient and effective workflows, minimize material handling and reduce total costs
  • Identify capacity constraints and recommend contingency plans in a timely manner to address and minimize impact to production schedule
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to ensure timely execution of new product launches and R&D Trials in parallel with current production
  • Initiates and supports continuous improvement of operational processes and support activities
  • Provides reports, KPIs (Schedule Attainment, LB per Week, Downtime, material stock outs, etc) and other forms of analysis relating to the production schedule
  • Comply with all company rules, regulations and policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related fields
  • Strong Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite, to include PowerPoint, Excel and Email.
  • Production Planner/Scheduling Coursework or Certification (i.e. Master Planner, CPIM, CPE, etc) preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in a production scheduling or planning role
  • Intermediate analytical skillset
  • Excellent planning, organizational and leadership skills
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus
Additional Skills:
  • Knowledge of food industry a plus
  • Experience working in SAP a plus
  • Understanding of forecasting and inventory management
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to details
  • Ability to problem solve and provide strategic solutions quickly.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work without close supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a team environment.
Travel:
  • This position does not require travel
Work Environment:
  • If time is needed in the plant, the employee may be subject to production environment approximately 20 percent of the work time. (wet environment with temperatures in the range of 38 to 40 degrees)
  • Medium/High noise levels from operating machines.
  • Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
  • Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to enforce Good Food Manufacturing (GMP’s) processes.
Physical Requirements:
  • Use hands to find, handle, touch and manipulate items
  • Speak and/or hear
  • Stand for extended periods, walk and reach with hands or arms
  • Occasionally stoop, reach, crouch, twist and walk
  • Have vision abilities to include proximate vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus as well as be able to effectively see and process computer generated images on a screen
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Able to work overtime and/or weekends when needed
