Position Summary This individual will manage the day-to-day operation of the PGA TOUR Superstore STUDIO located inside of Five Iron Golf and will report directly to the Manager of Performance Center and Brand Activation. Although employed by PGA TOUR Superstore, the STUDIO Services Manager works in partnership with the Five Iron Golf location’s leadership team to provide an exceptional club fitting experience. Overall Function of this Position: The STUDIO Services Manager is a champion of the PGA TOUR Superstore ‘Customer First’ philosophy, and provides a world-class experience aligned with PGA TOUR Superstore Core Values. The STUDIO Services Manager is responsible for maximizing customer utilization of STUDIO Services, while keeping work areas clean, organized, and in stock, and fitting technologies in working order. The STUDIO Services Manager is responsible for ensuring that all PGA TOUR Superstore Associates operating out of the Five Iron Golf location utilize expert-level club fitting and product knowledge to make effective equipment recommendations, conveying information to the customer in a respectful, easy to understand manner. Key Responsibilities: The STUDIO Services Manager’s top priority is to ensure that every customer receives world-class customer service while creating a unique and fun, appointment-based club fitting experience. Other responsibilities include: Manage day-to-day operations of STUDIO (e.g., club repairs & customizations, organizational tasks, customer communication, etc) Manage Fitter and Golf Instructor schedules to maximize club fitting availability. Maximize customer utilization of STUDIO Services to drive customer engagement and meet or exceed predetermined monthly and annual sales and booking goals. Manage inventory, place orders, receive orders, and communicate with customers via email or phone Manage the fitting component inventory and related fitting tools and the physical condition of the STUDIO space, working with various business groups in order to find solutions to issues. Mentor the STUDIO Services Specialist(s) operating at the same Five Iron Golf location. Ensure each club fitting session is executed in accordance with customer service quality control standards as set by PGA TOUR Superstore. Partner with Five Iron Golf leadership to educate Five Iron associates on benefits of the various STUDIO Services and how to recommend STUDIO to the customer. Be an expert in the use of industry-leading club fitting technology, including various launch monitor technologies as well as OEM-specific fitting technologies. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, aiding customers by listening to their needs and responding with applicable solutions found within our Service offerings. Educate customers on club and ball technology, club components, and related fitting techniques, so that purchase decisions can be made according to desired results and realistic performance expectations. Build custom golf clubs to precise specifications. Execute standard golf club repairs. Including regripping, reshafting, adjusting loft & lie Address customer concerns and resolve them to the customer’s satisfaction. Be an advocate for STUDIO at meetings for local golf associations or networking groups Complete work lists and bulletin directives on a timely basis. Adhere to approved loss prevention programs that minimize inventory shrinkage and support the sales/profitability of the store; provide feedback to store leadership on loss prevention issues/opportunities as needed. Qualifications and Skills Required: Communication: Strong listening and interpersonal skills. Candidates must possess good verbal and written communication skills, and communicate well with other associates in order to execute company initiatives. Analytical: Candidates must have good business skills and be able to develop solutions to common problems. They must be able to identify opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and improve operational processes. Computer: Candidates must possess basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet. Candidates must be able to learn scheduling software, simulator software, and basic reports functions. Organization Candidates must be able to organize multiple priorities and accomplish several tasks throughout their shifts, all while providing excellent services to customers. Skills: Ability to implement established/proven fitting principles, while utilizing new or advanced fitting technology. Ability to apply an understanding of ball flight principles to evaluate a customer’sindividual needs. Ability to identify and describe the characteristics of club components and their impact on ball flight, the golf club fitting process, and the various fitting tools commonly found in the industry. Effective teacher/trainer that can work with other associates, helping them learn fitting skills and techniques. Ability to apply accepted club building techniques and meet quality and safety standards Education: The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a G.E.D. or high school diploma. Original Equipment Manufacturing Training; Vendor training certification a plus. Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of club fitting and golf equipment sales experience preferred Working conditions and physical demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, climb up and down a ladder, move throughout the store, and lift a 30 lb. box overhead. Candidate must be able to work a flexible work week, and work nights, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs. The STUDIO Services Manager must be able to accommodate a typical retail schedule, work a flexible work week, and work nights, weekends, and holidays. Occasional travel may be required for company-initiated continuing education, or for the purpose of assisting in new-store set up and training.
