Responsible for ensuring all campers and staff registrations including medical information is reviewed and supported for the duration of the camp program season

Essential Functions

• Administer, document and submit all treatment to campers and staff as needed
• Assist in coordination of communication between camper parents/guardians regarding medical treatment, questions and/or additional information
• Inform staff of specific needs of campers, medical conditions and adaptations
• Provide medical support for campers with medical conditions that require skilled nursing attention in addition to all other campers & staff as needed
• Attend field trips as required
• Report any and all medical concerns
• Performs related work as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have a valid license to practice as a Commonwealth registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician's assistant, or a licensed practical nurse
• Ability to provide medical assistance and/or support for program participants and staff
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to demonstrate compassion, understanding, acceptance when working with campers, families and staff.
• Ability to express oneself clearly through written and verbal communication.

Education and Experience

• Current valid license to practice as a Commonwealth registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician's assistant, or a licensed practical nurse.
• 1 year of responsible professional experience in school nursing or a related field preferred.
