Under the direction of the Security Manager, the incumbent is responsible for directing the activities of the Security Officers in assigned zones of responsibility in accordance with the company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Exhibit all conduct in accordance with Louisiana Gaming regulations and Golden Nugget policies and procedures, as well as all Federal and State laws and regulations.
- Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
- Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
- Review all incident reports submitted by Security Officers for accuracy.
- Coordinate emergency situations.
- Evaluate the performance of officers and provide direction, coaching, counseling and recognition to ensure successful performance.
- Patrol the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate persons, to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and the entire facility.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
- Act as a representative of the property, interacting with guests and employees in a courteous, professional manner.
- Work flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the operation.
- Secure inventories and maintain lost and found records and items.
- Ensure procedures to protect the integrity and security of the company, employee and guests.
- Maintain excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations with guests, vendors, visitors and Golden Nugget staff.
- Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity and a strong work ethic.
- High School diploma or equivalent required;
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of job related Security experience in a high volume casino/hotel.
Must have solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal communication skills are required. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
