Golden Child Development Center is Hiring a Lead Summer camp Instructor Near Raleigh, NC

Job Summary:

Are you a natural leader with a passion for creating memorable experiences for children? We are seeking an energetic and organized individual to lead our summer camp program. If you have a knack for planning engaging activities, managing a team, and fostering a positive environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the summer camp program, including planning, scheduling, and implementation of daily activities.
  • Lead a team of camp counselors, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure the success of the program.
  • Develop and coordinate age-appropriate curricula and lesson plans that align with camp objectives and promote educational and recreational enrichment.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive camp environment that fosters the social, emotional, and physical well-being of all participants.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, staff members, and campers to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
  • Manage camp logistics, including inventory management, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to enhance the camp experience through special events, field trips, and guest speakers.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a leadership role within a summer camp, daycare, or similar setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for working with children and creating engaging, educational, and fun-filled experiences.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
