Warehouse Generalist

• Picks and pulls orders

• Processes returns for damaged materials

• Loads and unloads freight from carriers

• Examines packages and its content and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment

• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials

• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes

• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as forklift, pallet jack or sorting bins

• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping

• Communicate with shipping representatives to rectify issues, such as damages, shortages and other discrepancies

• Request and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock

• Process customer returns, vendor returns and RMAs to manufacturers

• Maintains work environment safe and clean

• Other relative duties as assigned

• Ability to accurately do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms

• Forklift certification preferred

• Non-CDL delivery driver duties

• Works in accordance with warehouse safety regulations

• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally team lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds.

• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch.

• Frequently required to sit, climb and balance.

• Often required to push/pull a ladder, ascend and/or descend ladder while holding packages.

• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
