Location Details:United States Remote or Tempe

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all order to cash transactions, including revenue recognition, are completely and accurately reflected in our financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and international regulations as required.

What you'll get to do...

  • Oversee global revenue accounting teams, with ability to manage remotely and ability to travel as needed
  • Work closely with the business partner teams to provide revenue recognition guidance and ensure accurate data and controls are in place for recognition of global revenue
  • Responsible for global deal desk, including real time assessment of revenue recognition requirements and ensuring requirements are properly supported through eCommerce and revenue recognition systems
  • Responsible for proper financial statement presentation and disclosures for both internal and external financial reporting
  • Responsible for timely completion of month end close processes, account reconciliations and account analysis
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving SOX compliance for revenue accounting functions and providing leadership over SOX documentation and related testing
  • Responsible for the final technical assessments of new product launches and processes, including ownership of accounting policies
  • Serve as the key liaison between the business teams and the accounting organization for new product launches and complex customer contracts
  • Drive and project manage strategic initiatives which require the support of the revenue accounting team
  • Responsible for financial systems implementation and support, including providing guidance on revenue recognition requirements, SOX controls associated with both SDLC and post go-live considerations, external financial reporting requirements, audit enablement and internal reporting needs
  • Identify and proactively provides solutions for automation and process improvements while ensuring team responsibilities are completed with detail, accuracy and timeliness

Your experience should include...

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 10 years of relevant accounting experience with a strong understanding of accounting theory
  • Revenue and accounts receivable accounting experience in publicly traded companies
  • A solid understanding of US GAAP and related experience with accounting research and application
  • Auditing skills, with the ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel experience
  • Being highly detail oriented and organized in work with the ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in coordination with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to improve performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Able to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish assigned tasks and thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • You should have a strong foundation in team building and management, financial systems implementation and management, deal desk, general accounting, revenue recognition, operational and process optimization and streamlining, and a strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Master's degree in accounting
  • Big 4 public accounting experience
  • Experience in SaaS or technology industry
