Responsibilities

About the Role:

This role primary responsibility will involve supporting the ALM analytical team by providing large sets of transactional data using data transformation techniques to transform the data. The Data Analyst I - Asset Liability Management is a key team member supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of GM Financial's Asset Liability Management model and data processes. The ALM Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, running, developing data processes which will help in supporting ALM monthly model in BancWare. The ALM Data analyst will be responsible for executing monthly data processes, setting up controls and recommending solution to automate the data load process into the ALM model with minimum intervention. In this role the data analyst will work closely with the dedicated IT resources and collaborate with them on standardizing GMF's ALM data process. The data analyst will also be involved in creating new data dashboards using Power BI and champion the data efforts which are measurable and can create a robust data framework for GMF's ALM model.

• You will support the research, development, and implementation of GM Financial's ALM model within BancWare and its Data tool BDI
• Assist in monthly production of ALM metrics such as EVE, Duration Gap, NII Sensitivity, and Liquidity
• You will provide data analysis for monthly production ALM runs using BDI and BancWare
• Run monthly tracking reports related to consumer originations, derivative execution, prepayments etc
• You will work closely with IT team to automate the existing manual data processes
• Maintain up to date model documentation and work with internal constituents such as Audit and Model validation

Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?

• Demonstrates knowledge of capital markets
• Ability to utilize knowledge of Excel and other query tools including SQL
• Knowledge of FIS BDI (Data transformation tool) preferred
• Basic knowledge in SAS programming
• Possesses superior analytical skills and proficiency in Power Point and Microsoft Office skills
• Demonstrates strong time management skills, meeting deadlines consistently.
• Knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting, and/or financial services

Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor’s Degree ​Finance, Economics in related field or equivalent work experience required

• 0-2 years ​prior experience in asset liability management, financial analysis, data mining, statistics, and forecasting preferred
