Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall functionality and appearance of our facility by performing various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

Primary

  • Conduct facility audits, documenting all issues found at the facility.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including but not limited, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting fixtures, and general building repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems to minimize downtime and optimize functionality.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
  • Collaborate with contractors and external service providers as needed for specialized repairs or installations.
  • Help develop more effective maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain work orders systems.

Secondary

  • Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition.
  • Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and policies to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Tertiary

Implement workplace safety policies and standards.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Work Order Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Understanding of building codes and regulations related to safety and maintenance.
  • Thoroughness in inspecting facilities for maintenance needs.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma / G.E.D
  • Facility Maintenance Experience / 4 years multiple industry trades
  • Associate degree Preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Drive, Walk, Stand, Sit
  • Repetitive use of hand / grasping
  • Ability to lift / carry up to 50lbs

  • Working at heights; ladder and lifts.
  • Operating heavy machinery; scissor lift and forklift.
  • Exposure to change in temperature; working in various weather conditions.
  • Exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, gases, chemicals, etc.
  • Communication with employees and field partners will be primarily conducted via phone and email.
