Summary

The Facility Maintenance Assistant provides safe and effective maintenance in a timely manner to meet daily production needs and goals. The team member will also conduct facility maintenance duties as assigned to meet daily, weekly, and monthly schedules while working in accordance with established policies and procedures to complete maintenance requests and tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance duties adhering to all safety regulations lock out / tag out, state and federal regulations.
• Assist supervisor in performing preventative maintenance on vans, trucks, and equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment in the maintenance shop, facility and grounds.
• Work to ensure the facility and grounds are maintained in a clean, safe environment.
• Performduties according to proper vehicle handling procedure, standard work instructions, and safe work practices.
• Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Ensures ISO compliance standards are met, utilizing documentation as identified by WP ISO system.
• Provides continuous feedback to Supervisor of all facility, grounds, and equipment status.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with external customers and internal departments.
• Skills in organizing and prioritizing work activities.
• Ability to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• 1 year general maintenance required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Physical Requirements

• Drive, Walk, Bend/Stoop, Climb, and Reach.
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping.
• Engage in regular lifting and/or carrying.

Working and Environmental Conditions

• Often outside/ exposure to change in temperature.
• Working at heights, Ladder or lifts.
• Operating Machinery.
• Changing light bulbs, intricate repairs as identified.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, gases, and chemicals.
