ROLE PURPOSE
Research and analyze accounting imbalances and disposition these based on existing or new footprints/patterns. The Analyst will also be called upon to conduct research on our fielded systems to identify and writeup new possible bugs/issues.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review nightly accounting reports from the affected systems to determine if a previously identified imbalance pattern has occurred
• Review detailed software execution trace files for new patterns
• Escalate unresolvable issues to developers and work with them to identify and resolve latent defects
• Ensure timely updating of shared imbalance spreadsheets and communicate/troubleshoot with partners when necessary.
• Investigate additional accounting questions as required by customer(s) and other business stakeholders

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level:

• 2-4 year degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or related field

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years experience in a financial/data analysis role
• Ability to use scripts/utilities to facilitate data analysis
• Relational Database skills (SQL, Postgres)
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, C# or other programming/scripting languages
• Jira Knowledge/Experience 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

• Affinity for working with numbers
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Problem solving skills and pattern recognition abilities
• Ability to work independently, planning and organizing activities to meet schedules
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation / log files
• Ability to write basic database queries and related scripts
• Experience with PCs and Windows operating systems

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, and filing cabinets. Testing is conducted on representative models of cash handling products.

Pay Range: $XX - $XX, Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; education; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
