The Hospital

Global Veterinary Careers is partnering with a well-established hospital in Watouga, TX. The hospital is seeking a full-time Lead Veterinarian to spearhead its team of 3 DVMs. As the Lead Veterinarian, you will get the full support and freedom to practice high-quality medicine alongside dedicated time to design/implement strategy and identify growth opportunities, taking the hospital to the next exciting stage.

The Role

· Overall responsibility for the smooth running of the hospital

· Financial responsibility for the monthly P&L

· Supervising all staff including relief veterinarians

· Full support provided from the non-clinical management team

· Surgery including spays/neuters etc.

· Wellness and preventative care to a high standard

· Diagnostic imaging

· Work up your Internal medicine cases

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

· DVM/VMD degree or equivalent from an AVMA accredited university

· ECFVG or PAVE if attended non-AVMA accredited university

· DEA, State, and USDA licenses (can be acquired when hired)

· Proficient general medicine, dental, and surgical experience

· 3-5 years’ experience in GP practice

· 1 year experience of mentoring or leading a team
