Your role:
The AV Technician will be responsible for ensuring all AV equipment is in good working order and optimally configured for various scenarios, including live events, conferences, studio recordings, podcasts, meetings, webinars and live streams. They will test all equipment, identify and resolve issues and suggest modifications and improvements.
The AV Technician should have a broad and thorough knowledge of leading industry technologies used in business communications, media events and ideally, television production. This relates to all AV technology, to include large displays, projectors and screens, Smart boards, digital signage, speakers, amplifiers, audio/video switchers, mixers, microphones, control systems, videoconferencing units, various cabling terminations, and cable management systems. They will also serve as a field-lead to AV installers, instilling best practices and standards of work as they relate to AV integration and support. Strong candidates should possess significant experience installing audio visual solutions with diverse products in a commercial business environment.
They must have strong communication, motivation, follow-up, documentation, organization, prioritization, and customer service skills. In addition, the candidate must have a can-do attitude, a strong work ethic and the ability to build relationships with team members with varying personalities.
