Position Title : Equipment Operator

Duration : Weeks with possibility of extension

Location : Ogletown Stanton Road, Newark, DE

Shift hours : am start time Monday-Fri and every other weekend shifts including holiday work

Job Description :

Accurately stack customer supplies orders for delivery to hospital supply locations in a manner that meets Customer standards for safety, security, and productivity.

Performs general physical activities in warehouse; loading, unloading, sorting and moving products and materials manually and using material handling equipment.

Duties :

• Delivers items using electronic handheld equipment iPad readers
• Delivers supplies to all hospital areas
• Maintains and arranges items on carts, flatbeds pallets for maximum efficiency.
• Removes debris and boxes from carts, flatbeds, pallets etc... And uses the proper disposal-cardboard bailer methods.
• Processes customer delivery information in computer system.
• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices.
• Reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
• Performs assignments and keeps assigned locations neat and orderly.
• Takes initiative to assist patient care staff with identification of supply needs.
• Delivers STAT supply requests to user Customer in an efficient and timely manner.
• Demonstrates compliance with hospital departmental policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, attendance, and dress code.
• Performs other related duties as assigned when needed by management.

Qualification : High school graduate

High school graduate

Three years of relevant experience in Material Distribution preferred

Valid driver’s license

One-year hospital experience
