The Senior Product Manager is part of the Global Product team and will focus on delivering value by leading the vision, strategy and product roadmap for a key element of our payments products. The Senior Product Manager identifies connected interdependencies with other products within the customer journey to develop propositions across multiple channels and markets. This role will support business reviews, communicate the product vision, and present across all levels of the organization. The role will be part of a newly formed Product Strategy and Innovation team in the Global Product organization. The Product Strategy and Innovation team analyzes industry trends, such as Buy Now Pay Later and cryptocurrency, and defines strategy that influence product roadmaps for e-commerce, omnichannel, and in-person commerce. This position reports to the Vice President, Global Product Strategy and can be remote or one of our US, Dublin, or UK Global Payments offices. Essential Functions Evaluate market trends and conduct competitive research: Perform market research on emerging payment topics (e.g., tap-to-phone, blockchain), with a special focus on in-store experience and omnichannel solutions, in collaboration with other Global Payments’ teams and product stakeholders across regions (North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific). Competitive analysis: develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive landscape and go-to-market strategies to provide customer and market feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and feature improvement. Identify alternatives and define strategy for a diverse range of payment and commerce topics (e.g., global payment acceptance (including local payment methods), token, digital wallets, QR code use cases) that influence in-store/POS, omnichannel, and e-commerce use cases: Define use cases and define / evaluate user experience Understand and evaluate technology / architecture / integration alternatives Evaluate options for partnering and buy vs. build Produce product brief(s), as needed, that highlights the strategy and next-level implementation Develop opportunity sizing and business cases with projected ROI on investment Socialize and communicate strategy Work with internal stakeholders and business units to coalesce on strategy Define and communicate strategy to stakeholders Form success criteria / OKRs and monitor performance upon implementation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Engineering; a combination of relevant training and/or experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree Master’s or MBA preferred. 3-5 years combined experience in product strategy or product management. Preferably 2-3 years in payments, financial services, or e-commerce. Experience in projects and/or solutions related to omnichannel use cases and in-store experience in the retail sector Ability to analyze large data sets and summarize key trends. Develop hypotheses based on trend analysis. Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones across Global Payment’s regions. Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decisions and actions without complete authority over the teams. Strong communication skills (oral, written) to engage diverse stakeholders. Experience gathering the ‘voice of customer’ and translating it into product feature requirements. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively. Ability to set the vision, strategy, define success metrics and make decisions around product growth. Job Complexity - Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products, or technologies. Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as external spokesperson for the organization with key accounts, agencies, partners, vendors, and sales prospects.
