Global Harvest Foods is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Reynolds, IN

Global Harvest Foods is a national manufacturer in the bird feeding industry with a rich 40 year history of delighting many “A” list retailers with our branded and private label product lines. Our manufacturing & distribution facilities are located strategically throughout the United States to provide our retail partners with the highest quality products and optimized service levels.

We are looking for an experienced and confident Human Resources Generalist to join our team located at our Reynolds, IN manufacturing facility. This position will report to the Human Resources Manager and be responsible for overseeing Human Resources functions at the plant level.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as assigned.

  • Support the overarching Vision, Mission and Strategy of Global Harvest Foods.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries and support for employees at the plant level.
  • Manage recruiting efforts of non-exempt plant employees to include job postings; advertising; reviewing applicants and making hiring recommendations.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes.
  • Maintain Human Resource Information System (ADP).
  • Maintain job descriptions.
  • Assure accuracy and consistency of payroll activities, including garnishments and medical support requirements.
  • Act as a resource for HR/Payroll related questions to ensure employees understanding and compliance with benefit and HR policies.
  • Provide benefits education and guidance to all team members.
  • Manage driver records program.
  • Work directly with HR Manager and location management in regard to employment practices, employee relations.
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of employment law, Including workers’ compensation, OSHA and unemployment at both the state and federal level.
  • Support HR Manager with government reporting to include EEO-1 filings; completion, reporting and posting of OSHA 300 logs and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
  • Help plan, coordinate and execute employee events at the plant level.
  • Manage employee recognition program.
  • Interact with employees and vendors in-person and on the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years directly related work experience in Human Resources.
  • College degree or Human Resources Professional Certification preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in federal, state and local employment regulations, FMLA, ADA, ACA, Work Comp, OSHA, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Explorer, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe and ADP.
  • Strong recruiting skills.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
