Transport students, personnel and guests of Global Evangelism, Inc.
Drive various vehicles depending on the schedule of events and workload of the Transportation Department. Transport students, personnel, and guests to and from required destinations. Observe speed limits and obey road signs. Ensure all passengers are safely seated and strapped in as required.
General maintenance and pre-trip inspection of vehicles: checking fluid levels, tire pressures and overall general integrity check of all vehicles reporting any discrepancies to supervisor along with washing and detailing of vehicles when not in use.
Day to day operational duties - Checking inventory and reporting to supervisor minimum quantities and re-order points.
Meetings and briefings within department and immediate supervisor
Safety and training
Perform all other functions and duties as assigned by the position's immediate supervisor, department head and/or Executive Pastor.
High School Diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license obtain within 90 days - driving record that meet or exceeds the requirements of the state and church insurance
Daily: phone, and various vehicles of the department
Work well with others. Remain calm in the event of emergency and make good sound decisions.
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; must have 20/20 vision or correctable lenses. Must be able to complete DOT medical successfully.
This is a shop environment, at times being exposed to the outside weather temperatures.
Schedule
Monday – Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. while school is in session.
Hours and locations may vary according to business needs and sporting event schedules.
Schedule is subject to change to accommodate GEI business need.
