, a subsidiary of BioBridge Global, is a not-for-profit community blood center specializing in a variety of services to include providing blood, plasma, platelets and other blood components to numerous hospitals in 43 South Texas counties. STBTC is a community partner focused on enhancing health care through innovation and stewardship.
**General Summary**
Responsible for medical evaluation, acceptability, phlebotomy, and care of donors within our service area.
Responsible for providing safe transportation of staff and operational supplies within the service area as

Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (including donors) through established feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.
**Must have a valid driver's license and be at least 21 years old with a good driving record to meet organization driving standards.**
**Major Duties and Responsibilities**
Essential Tasks
Greet donors in a pleasing, professional manner.
Maintain a good working relationship with co-workers.
Assist in the unloading, setting up, taking down and reloading of mobile equipment.
Perform quality control function.
Determine donor eligibility through comprehensive medical history interview, medical screening procedures (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, Hgb/Hct via finger stick).
Ensure all necessary records are legible, accurate and complete.
Perform phlebotomy procedures.
Perform record review and data entry.
Assess and treat adverse donor reactions.
Maintain a good working relationship with supervisor including reporting issues relating to donors, donor groups, or departmental operations.
Transport mobile staff and operational supplies in designated motor vehicles.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Non-Essential Tasks
May help other departments as required.
Education
Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
Prefer a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma with related experience including on-job training (OJT). Prefer education as a Certified Medical Assistant.
Licenses and/or Certifications
Texas Operators Drivers License
Working Environment
Works in well lighted, air-conditioned and heated vehicle or office environments, but may work in confined spaces and non-climate controlled conditions. Will also work in all outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to blood borne pathogens and other conditions common to a full service blood and tissue center. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend. Occasional out of town and overnight stays required. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.
Physical Requirements
Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range. Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization.
Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours. Requires to reach, lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Phlebotomist preferred
**Experience**
Requires two or more years of customer service experience.
Prefer medical background experience.
**Knowledge**
Must be or become familiar with the community and area serviced.
Must maintain knowledge of and perform according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policies.
Must acquire a working knowledge of medical terminology.
**Skills**
Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.
Must be capable of performing screening, phlebotomy, and data entry procedures.
Must have strong computer skills.
Must be able to print and write legibly.
**Abilities**
Must be able to keep information confidential.
Must be neat in appearance and well groomed.
Must be professional, organized, detail oriented, communicative, and have the ability to greet the public in a
friendly and courteous manner.
