Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of construction projects and providing detailed proposals to clients. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and a solid understanding of construction estimating software.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Utilize construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create accurate and comprehensive estimates
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Review contracts and identify potential risks or discrepancies
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
- Prepare and present proposals to clients, including detailed breakdowns of costs and timelines
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
