GLO Resources is currently hiring for Marine Vessel Crane Operators to work in Laplace, LA. You will be working for a marine stevedore company, Pay will be between $22-28/hr. DOE. Typical workdays are 10-12 hour rotating shifts. You may be required to work at the yard in Belle Chasse as well.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Able to operate older electric cranes
· Understand swing physics and make around 300 swings a shift. (fast-paced)
· Good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation regarding crane operations
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Responsibility for daily inspections, participating in critical lift planning, and the safe operation of cranes
· Ability to function in a team setting working with other operators to fulfill the sites' needs
· When not operating, Crane Operators are expected to assist in other areas when needed.
· Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and physical prior to starting work.
Essential Skills and Experience:
1-2 years’ experience operating a ship gear crane
·1-2 years’ experience working in a marine environment
· Ability to communicate well with supervisors and co-workers
