Position Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated and diplomatic Registered Nurse with leadership experience to join our Patient Services team as a Nurse Manager! This leadership opportunity will allow you to make a positive impact on patients’ lives while fostering a team of Managers, RNs and Patient Service Staff!

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the Operating Room; working directly with the Director of Perioperative Services in the execution of strategic initiatives to optimize performance of the service. As a key member of the Surgical Services Executive Committee, you’ll collaborate with members of administration, surgeons, anesthesia providers and other key leaders to improve workflows and throughput, while supporting the clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care. Within our shared governance structure, you will promote exemplary practice, professional development, interprofessional collaboration and innovation across the service areas.

Collaboratively the patient care team and leadership team develop and continually refine structures, functions, policies and procedures and channels of communication to best serve the needs of patients and families; team members and the Hospital and system.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required; Master’s preferred

* Current Registered Nursing license in the state of New York

* Certification in nursing leadership preferred; required within 2 years of eligibility

* OR clinical nursing experience

* 1 - 2 years of direct OR leadership experience

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Outstanding program development and project management skills

* Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and stress management skills
