Team Impact

Glens Falls Hospital’s Adirondack Cardiology practice provides a wide range of medical services, from cardiac screenings/wellness checks, to diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitative care for patients in need. In this role, you will work directly with the cardiologist to perform a variety of noninvasive cardiovascular procedures while responding to any of the patient's special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs. You will support the cardiac care team by utilizing top-notch medical equipment top perform EKG screenings and noninvasive cardiovascular procedures as needed. By working closely with the Adirondack Cardiology team to provide exceptional patient care, your work will have a meaningful impact on the cardiac health of our community. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality noninvasive cardiovascular exams to include EKG's, Holter hook-ups, and stress test hook-ups with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols
  • Provide for appropriate patient care, safety, education, and a favorable customer service experience during procedures
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of patient records, especially in the MUSE System (computer system), to meet operating standards, corporate compliance practices, and/or regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Perform other related operational duties as needed including, but not limited to, transporting patients, office/clerical functions, equipment troubleshooting, maintaining supplies in rooms, and cleaning EKG equipment
  • Collaborate and participate in department related projects and/or teams focused on improvement opportunities as needed
Qualifications


Qualifications/Experience

Education/Accredited Programs
  • High School Diploma or GED Required

Experience

  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a cardiac care setting highly desired

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations

  • BLS/CPR Certification required upon hire

Skills/Abilities

  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred but not required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, students, staff, and physicians
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people
  • Ability to promote and work in a team setting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures
  • Computer proficiency skills required
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.25 to $22.50 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
