Glenn O Hawbaker Inc is Hiring a Network Administrator Near State College, PA

Job Summary:
Install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. This salaried non-exempt position will work with direct and indirect supervision.
Essential Functions:
* Monitor status of servers and related network infrastructure (switches, routers, communications lines etc.) 
* Manage network security in conjunction with the Systems Administrator
* Maintain various systems and services including, but not limited to, email systems, printers/copiers/multi-function devices, active directory/GPO/OU structure, SSL certificates, voice/data line trouble shooting & repair, phone system health/maintenance, file shares, etc.
* Document problems and resolutions/solutions in HelpDesk system.
* Provide training and documentation for users on various network services and applications.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
* Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
* Travel and/or driver personal or company vehicle to trainings, meetings, events, etc.
Knowledge of:
* Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and networking.
* Detailed knowledge of network infrastructure components and technology.
* Detailed knowledge of Network Switching Technology. 
 
Ability to:
* Work under pressure.
* Manage multiple concurrent tasks.
* Work in a team environment.
* Adapt to rapidly changing environment.
* Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
* Document new or improved processes providing lessons learned for future reference.
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification preferred.
* Working knowledge of a Citrix Environment preferred.
Education and experience: 
* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field plus five years of experience in network administration preferred.
* In lieu of a bachelor's degree and five years' experience, an equivalent amount of education and experience may be considered.

* Occasionally (0-33%) - Operate and sit in vehicle for sustained periods of time.

* Frequently (34-66%) - Work in a field environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions, noise, dust, extreme temperatures.
