Glencoe Regional Health is Hiring a Registered Nurse; Cardiac Rehab Near Glencoe, MN
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota
- BLS/ACLS certification required
- Certified in ECG interpretation
- Proficient in Windows-based computer systems
- A working knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
- Knowledge of growth and development, specifically an understanding of the cognitive, physical, and emotional and chronological maturation process.
- An interest and understanding of the management and treatment of congestive heart failure and cardiovascular disease.
- Have expertise in disease prevention strategy and teaching.
- Cardiac rehabilitation experience is preferred.
- Develops a safe and therapeutic exercise routine for the patient based on the patient’s ability and exercise prescription.
- Supervises exercise sessions, monitoring patient’s response to exercise.
- Responsible for blood pressure, heart rate, and telemetry monitoring.
- Responsible for “6 Minute Walk Test” and/or cycle ergometer test.
- Assists with the performance of cardiac stress tests.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other personnel.
- Participates in formal self-evaluations by identifying areas of strength and limitations.
- Participates in educational programs to increase professional competency and to meet personal needs and goals.
