Responsibilities of a Common Area Attendant include:

• Working in Independent Living and Health Care of Glenaire and having knowledge of all aspects of cleaning procedures.
• Providing a high level of cleanliness and service within common areas, offices, and back of house areas, as needed.
• Cleaning all public and employee restrooms to community standards.
• Acknowledging residents and colleagues in a pleasant manner.
• Following security procedures regarding resident belongings.
• Stocking of all public area closets and proactive communication regarding stock levels.
• Reporting all maintenance concerns to a EVS Leader.
• Stocking supplies and refilling chemicals for Housekeeping cart for next day preparation.
• Complying with all safety regulations of assigned tasks and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhering to all environmental policies and programs as required.
• Completing all special cleaning procedures that are scheduled for monthly, weekly, yearly cleaning.
• Performing any other tasks that may be assigned by the Director of Environmental Services.

Requirements of a Common Area Attendant:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Two years in a housekeeping setting in a hotel, hospital, nursing home, or contract cleaning service
• Knowledge of Housekeeping equipment.
• Knowledge of SDS sheets and bottle labeling.
• Able to understand housekeeping chemicals and use accordingly.
