Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club is Hiring a Teen Program Director (Full-Time) Near Glen Cove, NY

Serious inquiries only please. This position is located in Glen Cove, Long Island. We will accept applicants from local geographical area only.

Responsible for overseeing Teen Programs Department, effectively implementing and maintaining a variety of Teen and pre-teen programs and activities that are fun, engaging and support our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship. Recruitment and participation of teen-aged members, and organization of Clubhouse and off-site special events.

  • Develop and implement program strategies and initiatives to achieve organizational goals
  • Oversee program operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance evaluation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify program needs and opportunities for improvement
  • Lead and supervise a team of program staff, providing guidance and support
  • Monitor program outcomes and evaluate effectiveness through data analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures

Foster positive relationships with community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders

  • Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and events

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social work, public service, administration)
  • Proven experience in program management or a related role
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent project management abilities, including planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks
  • Demonstrated experience in program development and evaluation
  • Proficiency in social media management and marketing strategies
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in public speaking and presenting to diverse audiences
  • Ability to manage volunteers effectively

Salary: From $48,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
