Base Salary Range: $47,100 - $68,200

Overview

As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator III, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, EHS, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of the company's environmental health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance: Collaborate with the Sr. Manager EHS to maintain and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization. Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of safety programs, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and control measures.
  • Training and Education: Help organize and conduct EHS training sessions for employees, promoting awareness of safety guidelines, best practices, and regulatory compliance. Assist in updating training materials and ensuring documentation of training sessions.
  • Incident Reporting and Investigation: Assist in the investigation and documentation of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses. Identify root causes, assist in corrective actions, and track implementation to prevent future occurrences.
  • Environmental Compliance: Support the company's commitment to environmental sustainability by assisting with environmental compliance activities, such as data collection and inventorying waste, pollution prevention, and regulatory reporting.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Contribute to the development and maintenance of emergency response plans and procedures. Participate in drills and exercises to test and improve the organization's response to potential emergencies.
  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) Management: Assist in maintaining an up-to-date database of Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals used at the facility, ensuring accessibility and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Safety Inspections: Participate in routine safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and work with relevant departments to address corrective actions promptly.
  • Ergonomics: Collaborate with HR and management to promote ergonomic practices and ensure the proper setup of workstations to minimize potential workplace injuries.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental health and safety. Assist in maintaining records and documentation necessary for compliance.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Generate periodic reports on EHS performance indicators and metrics. Assist in data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4-6 Years of experience with High School Diploma; 2-4 years with Associates Degree or 0-2 with Bachelors Degree.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees at all levels and deliver EHS-related training sessions.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends, offering actionable recommendations for process improvement.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in safety documentation and reporting.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to changing regulations and industry best practices.
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Passion for Safety: A genuine interest in promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
