Product Manager - Ingredients

• Strategic Influence: Define regional portfolio priorities and align them with regional commercial priorities, in collaboration with Sales and Technical leadership. Identify meaningful portfolio gaps and create plans to address them. Collaborate with regional innovation and technical segment leadership on defining/executing regional innovation project priorities. Work with technical segment and regional innovation leadership to ensure cross-functional support and cooperation to for using new innovations by the regional technical service (FC&A) teams.

• Commercialization Partnership: Lead development of the regional product growth strategy and identifies business development opportunities for assigned product portfolio. Work with Sales Leadership and Director of Product Management to identify Customer and Product expansion targets and builds business case for sales and marketing deployment. Work with Category Marketing counterparts to ensure product promotional initiatives are included in broader regional and category Marketing plans. Partner with regional technical service (FC&A) teams to ensure technical group is prepared to support the external launch of new products and technologies. Work with Field Marketing to ensure team is trained and ready to engage customers to build awareness, increase pipeline opportunities and create new win revenue on selected portfolio. Lead selected product technology-driven opportunities with customers in relevant categories. Capture knowledge of competitor products, communicate changes and recommend corrective responses.

• Portfolio Management: Manage assigned regional portfolio to ensure it is relevant, complete, and profitable, and aligned with our strategy. Identify non-performing products and recommend deletion. Be the regional subject matter expert (SME) for assigned products and technologies. Collaborate with site Operations teams to guide supply capacity agreement on demand, and help build business cases for Capex related projects. Help deliver Sales and Gross Margin targets, working with pricing team to define price levels.

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a technical field (Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering). Extended Business Education or in combination with work experience will be considered
• 7 years’ experience in Flavors or food ingredients industries, with exposure to Food & Beverage consumer packaged
• goods or food service companies
• Sales or B2B Marketing experience with a know-how of B2C Marketing
• Previous experience in a multinational/matrixed business environment is helpful
• Experience working with people from technical and innovation related backgrounds
• Chronicled history of accomplishment that reaches beyond typical job responsibilities
• Endorses and promotes communication among peers
