We support Girl Scouts from coast to coast, encouraging them to be unapologetically themselves as they discover their strengths and rise to meet new challenges. Our regional council, Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, supports Girl Scouts and volunteers across 38 counties.

As a Community Engagement Manager at Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL, you'll play a crucial role in building strong connections within your designated geographic area. Your mission? Cultivate community support, engage with local members, and boost awareness and participation in all things Girl Scouts.

Your focus on driving new girl membership growth is key to meeting and exceeding council goals within your territory. Get ready to make a real difference in the lives of girls while spreading the Girl Scouts' message of courage, confidence, and character in a dynamic and rewarding environment!

Are you a good fit for this Community Engagement Manager job?

To excel as a Community Engagement Manager at Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL, you'll need a blend of skills and experiences. Ideally, you'll have at least 2 years of experience in outside sales and customer service, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of customer relationship management systems will be a plus.

Your ability to establish strong and professional relationships, coupled with a dedication to exceptional customer service practices, will set you up for success in this role. Don't forget your valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance, as some travel may be required. Most importantly, a genuine belief in and commitment to supporting the mission of the Girl Scouts is a must - and don't forget to become a registered Girl Scout member yourself to truly embody the spirit of our organization!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • 2 years' experience in outside sales and customer service preferred.
  • Possess computer skills in Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Outlook and customer relationship management systems or other data tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with customer service practices and the ability to build productive and professional relationships.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Belief in and supports the mission of the Girl Scouts.
  • Become a registered Girl Scout member
