Giordano's Pizza in Schererville is Hiring a Food Delivery Driver Near Schererville, IN

Qualifications/Skills:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and /or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential:

1. Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.

2. Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

3. Must be able to pass a background check, with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 36 months.

4. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperation, and work with a minimum of supervision.

5. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers and the public.

6. Ability to prioritize tasks in keeping with company policy.

7. Must be at least 18 years of age.

8. Have a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.

9. Have a reliable vehicle and proof of auto insurance.

10. High energy, friendly attitude and exceptional customer service skills required.

11. A keen sense of direction with the ability to read a map and find your way around your delivery area.

12. Basic math and cash management skills.

13. Ability and desire to work nights and weekends.

Desirable:

1. High School graduate

Essential Physical Abilities:

· Endure various physical actions throughout the work areas, such as reaching, bending and stooping.

· Ability to stand and/or walk continuously throughout the shift to perform essential job functions.

· Ability to endure repetitive motions for extended periods of time.

* Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 75 lbs.; and lift and/or

carry or otherwise move packages, and boxes.

Essential Job Functions:

· Ability to deliver food orders on time and in a friendly manner.

· Responsible for properly staging catering orders, when necessary.

· Keep drivers station clean and stocked with proper items.

· Maintain basic knowledge of P.O.S. and manual systems.

· Complete all opening and closing side duties as assigned.

· Canvas community with menus to help with marketing.

· Handle guest complaints and ensure guest satisfaction.

· Extend appreciation for guests’ patronage.

· Keep work area clean and organized while maintaining health standards.

* Promote a work environment conducive to teamwork.

Secondary Job Functions:

· Help put daily deliveries in proper storage areas upon receipt of delivery.

· Pick up product from other restaurants when needed.

· Rotate bottled Pepsi products and ensure coolers are properly stocked.

· Assist other restaurant employees with duties as needed; including but not limited to: cleaning of back of house, prep work tasks, picking up phones, welcoming guests, front of house side work, etc.

· Attend and participate in meetings, training sessions, menu and beverage tastings as scheduled.

Requirements:

  • Delivery Driver Experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proof of Insurance on personal vehicle that will be used
  • Passion for guest service and excellence

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $5.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
