The Director, Sales Manager & Market Intelligence - BioPharma works across the biopharma commercial team to help define, plan, and prioritize the sales strategy for key product verticals. This includes establishing and owning a (bi-)annual sales calendar plan; providing market and competitive intelligence; leveraging sales insights from CRM databases; and identifying new market and product opportunities. This position will report into VP of Biopharma Business Development.
Coordinate closely with marketing, corporate development, technical teams, and commercial leads to effectively plan timing and integration of all major inputs and outputs intended to drive sales (events, conferences, product launches, acquisition integrations, etc.)
Monitor sales performance and customer outreach metrics, analyze CRM data, and provide insights to optimize sales strategies and tactics
Work with sales leads to ensure they have the most up-to-date material for their pitches and presentations
Track key revenue metrics within the market, and develop action plans and countermeasures to address shortfalls
Own analysis of the BioPharma markets to identify key growth opportunities and strategic initiatives; this includes defining the size of the markets, identifying market problems, and conducting VOC to understand customer needs
Build organizational understanding of market trends, customer needs, buying personas, competitive activity and positioning, key applications and workflows. Translate this understanding into a knowledge base accessible to stakeholders across the organization for multiple end-purposes (strategy, innovation, marketing, etc.).
Minimum Requirements:
Typically 8-10 YOE plus PhD (or equivalent experience with a Bachelor's), including proven experience growing and developing a team to deliver results
Outstanding project management skills, preferably with project management or program management certification
Fantastic communication skills with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels
Ability to work independently and hands-on to achieve objectives in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
Excellent attention to detail with keen judgment and prioritization skills
Total compensation for this role is market driven, with a starting salary of $182K, as well as company stock awards. Base pay is ultimately determined based on a candidate's skills, expertise, and experience.
