We have an opportunity for you to join the team as the Accounting Manager! In the Accounting Manager role, you will oversee the accounting department functions with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reporting. You will supervise, monitor, and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities and be responsible for developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. The Accounting Manager will provide leadership to the Accounting Department staff. 

“A day in the life of the Accounting Manager looks like:”

• Oversees the activities of the Accounting Department including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, Credit and Collection, Route Settlement and Financial Reporting. Manage the activities, staffing, training, performance and development of accounting, finance, and office personnel in accordance with company policies ensuring that all work is done in an accurate and timely manner.
• Establishes and maintains systems and controls which ensure and verify the integrity of all financial information and ensure that work is completed in accordance with guidelines, regulations and laws governing the company. 
• Provides accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including monthly financial statements, gross profit and margin analysis, capital expenditure budget analysis, budget reports, income tax returns, and/or any other required government reports.
• Coordinates the preparation of financial information at the total company, divisional and departmental level in advance of management quarterly financial review meetings.
• Calculates and disburses timely tax and cash flow distributions to Shareholders.
• Compiles annual capital and operating budgets. Analyzes, identifies, and makes recommendations for areas in which improvements can be made.
• Manages deposits and coordinates cash transfers and transactions.
• Help with year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
• Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting functions

What does it take to be the Accounting Manager?

• Possess a minimum of an Associates degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory experience. 
• Understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations. 
• Demonstrate exceptional computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced user skills with Microsoft Excel.
