Job Summary:

Job Duties:

• Ensures set up of hot stamp at the beginning of shift and make adjustments according to job specifications to ensure proper working order
• Call up current existing vision files required to process the product assigned.
• Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum performance
• Troubleshoot problems during machine operation and resolve process issues, partner with Machine Lead as needed. Ensure correct parameters are used.
• Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
• Perform random testing procedures to ensure that hot stamp machines work optimally
• Perform safety checks on every machine
• Perform audits and quality checks
• Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output
• Informs lead hand of materials required for the operation
• Create and maintain activity logs
• Provide relevant information regarding progress to supervisors
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
• Provide assistance in running multiple machines if necessary due to business needs

Accountabilities:

• Reports to the shift Supervisor and receives direction from the Supervisor and Shift Lead
• Assists in machine set up according to job specifications to ensure quality production run
• Conduct periodic quality tests to ensure quality of production runs
• Conduct periodic inspection on calibration of equipment being used to ensure accuracy
• Responsible for quality of finished work on the shift
• Responsible in ensuring that correct vision files are being utilized during production
• Responsible in ensuring that the vision system is active and correct vision file is being used during production run for all machines.
• Works to achieve attainment of departmental goals
• Follows established safety and environmental compliance
• General maintenance and performance of the department

Job Specification

• Exposure to shop noise
• Required to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to operate machinery
• Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
• Flexibility on schedule (must be able to work overtime and on weekends on an as needed basis)
• Ability to look at work being produced in high speed environment for extended periods of time
• Adheres to MasterCard and Visa association security standards

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical trade school training is preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar manufacturing role
• High level of proficiency on all department equipment
• Good attendance habits
• Ability to comprehend and translate written work instructions and departmental procedures
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a time sensitive, deadline driven environment
• Understanding of quality processes and procedures
• Understanding the influences of the vision system. (Pixels, lighting, masking and filters – ensuring that the correct vision file is created
• Basic computer skills
• Safety conscious with a good understanding of general safety requirements
• Ability to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment
