The Opportunity

The compliance analyst’s role is to work with the Compliance Administrator to ensure that evidence for information technology controls is collected, reviewed, checked for required attributes, and provided to internal and external parties to support organizational audit and compliance functions.

What you'll do

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties):

  • Contributes to the ongoing development of the IT SOX Compliance Program
  • Builds and maintains strong peer relationships within the team and across the organization.
  • Coordinate with information technology and internal audit staff regarding requirements for control evidence.
  • Coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents.
  • Assist in collecting evidence and data required for control measurement and audit reporting.
  • Provide administrative support for Microsoft Teams and audit evidence collection system, including user account maintenance, registrations, and reporting.
  • Interact with various levels internally and externally to ensure adherence to Gibraltar standards and policies, including escalation of issues when needed.

Secondary Accountabilities:

  • Reviews control evidence for adherence to accuracy, completeness, and precision of control execution for all ITGC.
  • Documents control gaps and conclusions - consulting with appropriate team members, as necessary.
  • Maintains schedule and instructions for performing ITGCs.
  • Facilitates internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely turnaround and collection of information.
  • Works with control owners to define remediation/mitigation plans for internally and externally identified audit and compliance deficiencies and track remediation progress.
  • Coordinates with control owners to identity and document control changes.
  • Assists with implementing ITGC’s for new systems and applications changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    What we need

    • 2 years of relevant experience in Compliance, HR, Administration or related area
    • Associates degree or higher in Accounting, HR, Business Administration or related area
    • Familiarity with internal controls, regulatory reporting, SOX compliance and document preparation and review
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate potential issues to management and business unit liaisons as necessary
    • Ability to exercise sound judgement with confidence
