GI Nutrition NW, LLC is Hiring a Registered Dietitian Near Portland, OR

GI Nutrition NW, LLC is a private practice of Registered Dietitian Nutritionists specializing in digestive health. We are a rapidly growing practice of nutrition professionals working in an environment that offers the opportunity to engage meaningfully with our clients and guide them throughout their journey to better health and wellness. We are seeking a skilled, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) that resides in the State of Oregon or Washington with experience providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for gastrointestinal disease and disorders as well as women’s health conditions.

Job Description:

-Provide evidence-based MNT for gastrointestinal disease and conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), intestinal methanogen overgrowth (IMO), celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastroparesis, eosinophilic disorders, metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), food intolerance, food sensitivities, autoimmune disorders.

-Provide evidenced-based MNT for women’s health conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, hormone imbalance, perimenopause, and menopause.

Job Type:

-W2 employee, part-time, hours and days negotiable. Anticipate a 3-4 day/week schedule.

-Part-time once in-network with insurance companies, which generally takes 3 months to complete.

-10-32 hours/week

-Pay: $30-$45/hour based on experience. Move to salary once full client load is established.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition or related area granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
  • Completion of required dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics and Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Two years’ experience working in clinical and/or outpatient nutrition consultation.
  • Licensed Dietitian in the State of Oregon.
  • Certified Dietitian in the State of Washington (or willing to become certified).
  • Willing and able to work at our Beaverton or NW Portland office at least 1 day per week and more depending on client demand.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

-Provide nutrition assessment, counseling, intervention, monitoring progress towards individualized diet & nutrition goals.

-Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in electronic medical record.

-Coordinate care with members of the healthcare team.

-Create and maintain professional relationships with other providers to ensure referrals and an excellent reputation in the community.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

-2 years’ experience providing MNT for gastrointestinal disorders.

-1 years’ experience providing MNT for women’s health conditions.

-1 years’ experience providing MNT for disordered eating and ARFID.

-Desires to advance profession as a Dietitian in Integrative & Functional Nutrition

-Is someone who works well both independently and as part of a small team.

-Is someone that is creative, tech-savvy, and passionate about their chosen profession.

-Is driven to help define and expand their role and responsibilities within the scope of our mission of providing personalized, evidenced-based nutrition interventions with focused results.

-Is a self-starter and eager to pursue business opportunities, insightfully plans for schedule fluctuations, and manages time responsibly.

-Is flexible, responsible, and organized, and possesses outstanding interpersonal skills that will enable them to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

-Is comfortable speaking in front of groups and doing nutrition presentations.

-Possesses a solid knowledge of current nutrition research and topics.
