What’s The Job?GHSP, headquartered in West Michigan, is a leading global supplier of mechanical and electromechanical systems to the automotive, transportation, and appliance industry. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, GHSP is currently looking for a Systems Requirements Engineering Group Manager to join our Engineering team in Holland. (Onsite-Hybrid work options are available)
The Systems Requirements Engineering Group Manager provides technical and strategic leadership to the centralized product definition and requirements functions including detailed requirements development for the Systems, Mechanical, Hardware, and Software teams. Works with the other GHSP functional engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to deliver clearly defined requirements for product development, validation, and verification in support of meeting the company and customer objectives.
What You’ll DoTechnical Engineering Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute engineering projects in alignment with business goals and customer requirements. (within the requirements management tool)
  • Manage the full lifecycle of engineering project requirements, from concept to production, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Lead team to specify and document system requirements for system architecture that effectively distills and communicates the customer needs into the systems requirements.
  • Create and maintain systems requirements documentation to ensure system definition is clear to all internal functional disciplines and the customer.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and innovation within the engineering team.
  • Align process adherence and maturity to ASPICE level 3.
  • Serve as a technical expert and resource for team members, providing guidance on complex engineering challenges and resolving issues as they arise.
Management Responsibilities
  • Hire, develop, mentor, and manage staff; set department and individual goals; manage staff career development and training; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Lead and mentor engineers who are responsible for project activities.
  • Develop and leverage capabilities with the global GHSP product requirements team.

RequirementsWhat You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, required.
  • Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, preferred.
  • 10 years of engineering experience including embedded product design and development, required.
  • Experience in the automotive electronics field to include electromechanical mechanisms; electronic design of electronic control systems, preferred.
  • Embedded Design experience for automotive applications, preferred.
  • 3 years of engineering management experience, preferred.
  • Prior experience coordinating with global development teams is ideal, but not required.
  • Familiarity with coordinating program activities with team members at remote locations.
  • Exceptional customer service as this role will interface with internal and external customers.
