Job Description:
Join our clients team as an Oncology RN, where you’ll provide specialized care to cancer patients. As an integral part of their oncology unit, you'll administer treatments, monitor patient responses, and educate patients and families on their care plans. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you'll create personalized care strategies, offer emotional support, and maintain meticulous records in compliance with healthcare standards. Your compassion, clinical expertise, and commitment to patient well-being will make a significant impact on those navigating the challenges of cancer treatment.
Schedule:
- 3x12s, Day Shift
Responsibilities:
- Administer chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and treatment side effects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement comprehensive care plans
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients throughout their cancer journey
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in PA
-Minimum of 1 year acute care RN experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
