The Opportunity
The Product Marketing Manager is a consumer-focused, strategic, and cross-functional leader. We are looking for an expert on the market and consumer front. The Product Marketing Manager will drive the business case for new market initiatives, and evangelize and ensure adoption of our product/service capabilities
You will become expert in our carshare and gig (HyreCar) customers through primary research (e.g. surveys, groups, customer advisory boards) and thorough collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g. UX research team, customer support, etc). You will build on this foundation with a keen understanding of the economics of our business to develop the business case for product/service improvements.
Once launched, the real fun starts – internal education and evangelism (e.g. enabling customer support, and developing the communication strategy to ensure adoption.
This position will report to the VP of North America Marketing and will work closely with stakeholders in the US and EU.
What you’ll be doing
-Uncover unmet customer needs.
-Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. UX research team), conduct customer and NPS surveys, manage customer advisory boards, lead competitive analysis, guide external research firms etc.
-Educate your cross-functional Getaround peers and gain alignment on unmet/underserved consumer needs and conversion triggers.
-Develop business cases for key initiatives to drive product prioritization (along with the business and product management teams).
-Lead product positioning for new capabilities: Articulate where we play, who we serve, how we are differentiated. Develop focused value propositions and messaging, including reasons to believe, claims, testimonials.
-Develop content framework and rollout plan to support product /feature launches. This will include: in-app promotion surfaces, product-driven messaging/emails, CRM, Zendesk macros / call scripts, customer help center, website, etc.
-Collaborate with marketing colleagues to ensure high-quality, clear communication of positioning to various customer audiences (renters, owners, gig workers, etc).Determine KPIs and reporting, track program results, measure program success, report metrics and present to stakeholders and sales teams. Recommend improvements based on results.
What you’ll need
-Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field and 3 years' consumer-focused experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Business Strategy, or related field.
-Cross-functional leadership experience with a track record of seeing major initiatives from conception through market success.
-Experience driving and interpreting consumer research.
-Experience working with CRM, Performance Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, and Product teams.
-A self-starter attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
-Results orientation with the ability to overcome obstacles to deliver results.
-Experience with narrative development and shaping the big picture.
-Impeccable interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills.
-Possess a deep understanding of Product-Led-Marketing and how to leverage consumer digital and email communication strategies.
Nice to have
-Masters Degree in Business (MBA) preferred.
-Startup experience preferred.
