We are seeking tour guides and a lead guide. Applications for this posting will be for day tours and night/glow tours. training with night tours is available.

Rate: $50-$200 per day tips

Qualifications:

• Available a minimum of 3 days/nights per week, may include weekends

• Have a reliable vehicle to tow 3,100 pounds to and from trailer location (MUST be able to tow, unfortunately we are not able to hire anyone who cannot tow at this time)

• Experience towing trailers

• Able to lift 70 pounds (will be tested during interview)

• Able to carry the kayaks several yards by foot (will be tested during interview)

• Able to tow up to 400 pounds when kayaking as needed (will be tested during interview)

• Passion for being outdoors and willingness to learn

• Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times

• First Aid/CPR Certified Preferred

• Bilingual (spanish) preferred and may be considered for additional compensation

• Bachelors Degree a plus

• Experience in serving/bartending a plus

• Experience towing trailers a plus

Deliverables:

• Give guided eco tours

• Safely transport trailer from storage area to launch location and back

• Communicate and work with the Tour Guide

• Secure and lock trailer at storage area

• Provide relevant information about the tour/area to guests

• Ensure safety for all guests and help assist in paddling technique

• Take pictures for guests and marketing team

• Clean and maintain equipment

• Provide high quality and professional customer service

• Pick up tours when other guides call out

• Communicate and work with the Trailer Operator

• Charge equipment nightly *lead guide

• Onboard, train, and shadow new guides *lead guide

• A point of contact for other guides *lead guide

• Communicate recommendations to management *lead guide

• Give tours to prominent groups or influencers *lead guide
