Our world-premier kayak company is expanding in the Destin / Mary Esther area! We are looking for outgoing, eco-loving individuals as tour guides! Our kayak ecotours are done in 100% clear kayaks-perfect for the beautiful clear waters of the Emerald Coast

We are currently hiring for day time and evening tours, Monday through Sunday.

Candidates must be:

• 18 years or older
• Comfortable instructing groups of up to 12 people.
• Able to lift 60 Lbs.
• Have previous kayaking or paddle board experience
• Have a smartphone with the ability to download apps.
• Have a knowledge or an interest in wildlife, ecology and the history of the Destin Ft. Walton Area.
• Provide relevant information about the ecosystem and wildlife that call this area home, while promoting responsible ecotourism practices through passive observation.
• Interact with guests during check-in, assist with loading and unloading kayaks, and engage with guests during the tour with a friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming attitude.
• Ensure safety for all guests.
• Provide a paddling lesson that includes boating and wildlife safety before launching and during the tour assist in building paddling technique and skill!.
• Provide high-quality and professional customer service.
• Sharing your stories, experiences to connect with each guest.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications:

• Available 2-5 days per week.
• Have a passion for being outdoors and willing to inspiring others to try new things like kayaking for the first time! A dash of patience too!
• If not already certified, you must be willing to complete certifications in CPR/BLS and wilderness first aid.
• Maintain a CPR/BLS certification.
• This is a physically demanding job requiring the ability to load and unload kayaks, up to 60 pounds, on and off of a trailer throughout the day.
• The ability to paddle up to 2 hours two times a day.
• Complete the Wilderness First Aid course. (Course fee is provided to qualified candidates)
• Students are welcome to apply - perfect for students studying conservation, Florida Master Naturalist, teachers, or local residents with extensive knowledge of the local ecosystem.
• Kayaking or standup paddleboarding experienced required.
• Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
