Position Overview: Instructional Designer
You'll play a pivotal role in crafting top-tier instructional materials to enrich the learning journey of our team members. We're seeking an individual with a passion for education, a flair for creativity, and a solid grasp of instructional design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Needs Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses to pinpoint learning needs, gaps, and objectives. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather pertinent insights.
Curriculum Design: Develop captivating and impactful instructional materials, encompassing e-learning modules, instructor-led training resources, videos, and assessments.
Storyboarding: Craft intricate storyboards delineating the structure and flow of learning content, ensuring alignment with objectives and adult learning principles.
Media Development: Harness multimedia tools to elevate learning materials, integrating graphics, animations, and interactive elements.
LMS Integration: Partner with the Learning Management System (LMS) administrator to seamlessly integrate instructional materials into our learning platform.
Quality Assurance: Conduct meticulous reviews and quality assurance checks on instructional content to ensure precision, relevance, and adherence to design standards.
Evaluation and Feedback: Implement robust assessment strategies to gauge the effectiveness of learning programs. Solicit feedback from learners and stakeholders for continual enhancement.
Staying Current: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design, applying this knowledge to enhance the learning experience.
Physical and Travel Requirements
This is a remote role with minimal travel, typically less than 10%. Occasional planned travel may be necessary.
What You Bring
Skills And AbilitiesProficiency in instructional design tools, e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360), and multimedia software.
Strong project management skills, adept at managing multiple projects concurrently.
Adaptability, with the ability to seamlessly transition between projects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, AGILE).
Flexibility to accommodate global team schedules, including off-hours availability.
Technology skills are advantageous. Coding and Adobe Creative Suite experience are pluses.
Certifications/Licenses, Education, And ExperienceBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and e-learning content creation.
